We spent New Year's Eve at the lodge, and it was a lovely way to welcome the new year. After our morning hikes, we enjoyed the tea and pizza time back at the lodge. The room and facilities were clean and comfortable, with cozy beds and a heater that worked perfectly. Staff were friendly and welcoming. It's also a fantastic base for the trails and scenic spots. We're hoping to return during spring break.

Everything else was great, and the food was good. Go early if you want to avoid getting stuck in the line to drive up the mountain. We hadn't realized our room was in a separate building from the lodge and restaurant. That only became an issue because the snow made the walk or drive between them harder than it needed to be.

The location worked perfectly for hiking, and the staff were really friendly. The lodge is cozy and clean, with what my family and I needed, though it's not fancy or luxurious. We booked a large deluxe room for six, but ended up being five at the last minute. The sofa bed would feel cramped for two large adults, but it was just right for two smaller adults. I'd definitely come back soon with friends or family.

The outdoor fire pits were amazing, and we had a great stay overall. Parking wasn't a problem, though we did have to carry our bags up one flight of stairs. The front desk offered to have someone help, but we didn't need it. The lodge has a cool rustic feel and a great location. We ate at the restaurant for lunch and breakfast, and also got pizza from the pizza kitchen. All the food was much better than we expected, which was a nice surprise. The bar area was nice too. Service was just okay. The servers weren't very friendly, but our orders were right, the food came promptly, and it was delicious. It's probably hard to find good servers in such a remote place, so we gave them some slack. Bees were a nuisance on the deck, so we ate our pizza inside. The window fan can be taken out easily if you want to close the room window completely.
