Best Western Greenbrier Inn

The location is reasonably close to everything. The manager was friendly, though the front desk worker wasn't. Our room felt a bit dated, and we couldn't use the exercise room because it was closed. I didn't see any roaches, but since it was winter, they could have been hiding.

I'd stayed here several times before without problems, so I expected to leave a decent review. This last visit was awful. I asked for fresh towels and for the beds to be made one day. They told me to bring the dirty towels down to exchange them, and said they'd get to the beds, but never did. On our final day, we went to breakfast and came back to find dirty water leaking from the toilet. Staff said someone in our family had urinated on the floor, refused to move us to another room, and said someone would come inspect it. A couple of hours later, nobody had shown up. Our family was left in a room with sewage water leaking out and no usable toilet.

As a platinum member, I've stayed in better rooms. This one was decent but a little dated. The fireplace didn't work, the balcony looked out on a trash pile, and parts of the carpet were sticky. We were told a crib would be available, then found out they don't offer them. The staff were rude, unpleasant, and unprofessional. I asked for complimentary late checkout because of my status, but they wouldn't grant it. They said we could have it if we paid the fee. VERY DISPLEASED

I drove all the way there for my mother's birthday and my niece, but ended up sitting outside all day until my husband finished work. He was already five hours away, and I'd realized my ID was in the car. I asked the woman at the desk if she could accept a photo of my driver's license on my phone, but she refused. She also wanted a $150 deposit and another $30 for early check-in. I've never had another hotel do that to me. She wouldn't refund my room payment or let me charge my phone, even though I had a lot of luggage. My phone died, so I had to walk to the nearest store and ask to charge it. It was humiliating and embarrassing. She threatened to call the police, and Priceline wouldn't refund me because she wouldn't cancel the reservation. She ruined my whole day. Don't go there. She's an evil person with no heart.
