We had a great time at the pool and around the fire pits, and there were so many activities to keep us busy. KJ was wonderful with my youngest and me during the activities. The staff overall were incredible, and the rooms are great, with large kitchens that are really accommodating for a hotel. It’s affordable, within walking distance of a lot of places, and about a 15 minute drive from the bigger attractions. Such a family friendly place. We plan to come back regularly when we’re in the area.

The location puts you near plenty of activities, the check-in staff were friendly, and it was easy to text if we needed something. But this felt like a budget knockoff of the Wilderness, and we won’t return. The beds were so uncomfortable that I slept on the couch, which was only a little better. The indoor pool looked disgusting and very dated. Our room stayed hot even though it was around 65 during the day and 30 at night. We turned the AC as low as it would go and maintenance said it was working fine, so we slept with the balcony doors partly open because the room was stuffy. They had no fan to give us. The shower only got warm, and its floor was slick.

Jackie from the activities department went out of her way to help us sort out timing and alternatives for things our kids couldn’t have, and housekeeping was great. There’s lots to do at the resort and plenty nearby, so we had an awesome stay and will likely come back. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. Our thermostat was locked and wouldn’t go below 68 degrees, though we like 65-66 at night. We had a sliding back door but no actual balcony in our room, while many other rooms did have one, so maybe we were just unlucky. The screen door and paper towel holder were broken but still usable, and the shower drain was a little clogged, so water backed up faster than it drained.

It’s a nice, comfortable hotel if you have kids and want to be close to everything, but it can be hard to enjoy as an adult. The hot tub felt like a kiddie pool, with children splashing in and out and little adult supervision. I think it was cooler than on our last visit, though maybe I’m overthinking that. The AC in our room wasn’t very strong either, so it might not be comfortable in summer. The rooms are clean, but some technology is slow or dated. It’s near Walmart and Dollywood. If you’re an adult or couple looking for a more comfortable, accommodating stay, somewhere else may suit you better.

The room was amazing, spacious, clean, and had a comfortable bed. The kids’ activities and pool area were awesome too, and the Build a Buddy department was really cool. KJ and Jackie were great workers who gave my kids a wonderful experience. This is my favorite resort now.
