Swimming In Paradise was a great time, and we had no problems with anything during our six nights. The cabin was spotless, everything worked, and we enjoyed every minute of the stay. It’s a four-floor place with a lot of stairs. My one complaint is the theater bathroom: it has no door, and the shower glass is clear, so you can see the person showering. Aside from that, I’d definitely recommend it.

The kids spent every night playing pool, and the bunk beds in the theater room worked out perfectly. They also loved swimming and the hot tub, though the arcade table didn’t interest them much. We had a really good stay and are already talking about coming back. There are six flights of stairs inside. We got used to them quickly, but the wooden stairs between the hot tub and pool have no nonslip tape, and there’s no bathroom by the pool. The pool was pretty chilly and didn’t feel heated. We kept wiping down the stairs because they felt so risky, especially with kids around. The video only shows the stairs to the bunk room and hot tub, then down to the pool. There are two more flights up to the game room and main bedrooms.

The cabin was filthy when we arrived. There was hair, pee, and food in the made beds, food on the floors, and chicken wings left on the grill. I called, and they said they’d send the cleaner back. When we returned, the sheets had been changed but the floor was still dirty. The AC wasn’t working, so they brought in two small window units and left the windows open. They barely helped. For $600 a night, I expected much better. Customer service just apologized and said nothing could be done. I asked to move to another cabin, but they gave me a million excuses about why the ones listed online as available weren’t actually available. The place and the service were both garbage. We won’t stay at another Elk Springs property.

The pool and hot tub were nice. The lower room and bathroom didn’t feel private, though, which made showering awkward. That setup just seemed odd.

The cabin was very nice, but I don’t understand paying a cleaning deposit and being asked to leave a tip when our feet were black from walking around inside. The pool was so cloudy that the kids only swam once, and it didn’t look clean. At this price, I expected Paradise.
