The peaceful setting and lovely, library-like feel made the Inn a perfect place to get away for the weekend. We were already talking about coming back before we left. We stayed while in town for a wedding, and both Sewanee and The Sewanee Inn were better than we expected. The staff were wonderful, the property was spotless, the food was delicious, and housekeeping did a great job. Those lavender cookies left with turndown service each night were a sweet touch. The whole place feels like a cozy, thoughtfully designed living room. Big credit to management and the team, it’s a real gem.

After dinner at Shakerag, we took a walk down to Green’s View. It was so quiet and peaceful. Dinner was excellent, and our server was genuinely friendly and knew how to manage the table. We stayed one night after dropping our daughter off at a Sewanee camp. Our king room was clean and comfortable, with a nice view of the golf course. The bar was well set up, too. We had a glass of wine outside and relaxed for a while. The Inn is in a great location, and a solid choice when you’re staying in Sewanee.

The little touches around the inn made us feel pampered, and dinner in the dining room was excellent. We were just passing through and stayed one night, but we’ve talked about returning. The Sewanee Inn had a quiet, cozy feel and a nice rustic charm, without being so far out of the way that getting there took forever. The staff were very friendly.

Matthew at the front desk was polite, helpful, and very nice. I got a room for my daughter and went in to see the rooms. It’s a beautiful place right on the golf course. I live only about 40 minutes away, and I hope I get the chance to stay here sometime.

We don’t golf, but we hike, and there are plenty of trails on The Domain. Some great views are only a short walk away. We’ve stayed here about 6 times now and plan to keep coming back. It’s a lovely place near Sewanee, really the only game in town if you want somewhere nice. Swallows and other birds zip around the porches, where you can sit with coffee, which is always available in the lobby. The rooms are very comfortable, with a nice layout and good amenities, and the shower has excellent water pressure. They always leave a couple of bottles of water for taking along on your adventures. The one downside is that it tends to be pricey.
