Bear Paw Lodge

We made so many great memories here, from kayaking and a boat tour to dog sledding and visiting exit glacier. Bear Paw lodge was a perfect spot for our family reunion. The house was clean and well cared for, with just the Alaska decor we wanted. We enjoyed dinners in the well stocked kitchen and evenings in the hot tub. It’s close to town and exit glacier, but tucked away in the woods. Thanks for being such wonderful hosts, Wendy and Dave. We’ll be back!

Wendy and Dave gave us great ideas for things to do, and we had a memorable trip, with time at the lodge as well as hikes, kayak trips, the Sea Life Center, and a Kenai Fjords tour. Bear Paw Lodge is the most beautiful and comfortable log cabin we’ve ever stayed in, and probably the best place to stay in Seward. It’s huge, functional, immaculate, and has everything you might need: a hot tub, fire-pit, laundry room, enormous kitchen, and BBQ on the deck, plus it’s close to town. Their care and attention show everywhere. I highly recommend visiting Seward and staying here.

We saw a moose in the yard one morning, which was such a treat. This was our first Alaska visit, and Bear Paw Lodge was our last stop for a few days before heading back to the East Coast. It was the perfect finish to our trip. The lodge is comfortable, and Dave and Wendy were wonderful to have around, sharing so much knowledge about the area. We also loved hearing about all the care and work they put into making the place special. Highly recommend Seward and Bear Paw Lodge!

The house was even more beautiful than the photos and had plenty of space for my husband, me, and three other couples. After busy days of excursions, we enjoyed unwinding by the warm, inviting fire pit or relaxing in the hot tub. It was very well equipped, and Marci was wonderful about helping with everything we needed. Wendy was easy to reach and quick to answer questions. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.
