If you’re skiing at Belleayre, the location is hard to beat. There aren’t many food options nearby, but being close to the slopes is why you’d choose this motel. You can tell they’re making an effort: the rooms were clean and comfortable, with cable TV, Roku, a small kitchen, and plenty of hot water in the shower. There’s also a picnic table behind each room. We’d stay again next season.

Right in the Catskill high peak region, this cozy, clean motel works well if you need an early start for a hike or get back late after one.

We had a great stay at this really sweet, dog-friendly motel with our family. It’s got that classic old-school Catskills feel, and it was very clean. Each room has its own grill and picnic table, which is such a cute touch. One of my showers kept shifting between hot and cold, though the other showers we used were fine. Maybe too much water was being used at the time. The WiFi can get overloaded, but we didn’t mind; it gave us an excuse to read and sleep.

The owner was sweet and helpful, and we loved how quiet and individual this place feels compared with big hotel chains. Everything was so clean you could eat off the floors. The bed was comfortable, the blankets were ridiculously soft, and the units were really nice. There’s a small kitchen and a back door to a backyard area, with a picnic table and grill for each unit. The bathroom has plenty of room in the shower and shelves for toiletries. The kitchen sink even has a pull-out sprayer faucet, which thrilled me because I don’t have one at home. A wonderful place to stay!
