The Wheelhouse Inn

For a quick overnight ski trip to the Catskills, we booked last minute and paid $130. My friend and I could both fit in the room, which had a queen bed and two singles. The inn is a very old house converted into a small place to stay. It was very clean, the WiFi worked great, and the host was kind. Zephyr, one of the best restaurants, is just a few doors away. I’d give the Wheelhouse 3.5 stars and would come back, but $130 a night doesn’t feel justified for such a rustic place. In my opinion, it should cost under $100. There’s no TV. Nothing was exactly bad, but there’s plenty of room for improvement.

We spent three nights here and found it very pleasant. The clean, comfortable room made a nice place to rest after our daily hikes. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone staying in or near Pine Hill.

We loved the quiet atmosphere and friendly neighborhood, and we’ll come again with friends. The place is comfortable and cozy, but a few changes would make it feel much more secure and worth the drive. A deadbolt on the door and an updated entrance would help. The room would also work better with a table and chairs and a mini fridge. We were fine without a TV since the WiFi worked well and there were plenty of outlets.

My family and I had a restful three nights at this inn. The hosts were more than kind to me and my kids, and they know the mountains very well. The place was so clean and cozy, and they were friendly and very helpful. I shared my photos on social media, and all my friends asked about the place. Thanks so much for everything. We’ll definitely come back and stay again.
