That quiet patio was a lovely part of the stay. We sat outside in the warm sun and listened to the birds, and the small-town setting made it all feel more restful. This was our second night here and our second dinner, and my wife and I both thought it was even better than before. The bed was every bit as comfortable as one in an upscale hotel, and the sheets felt so soft that we asked about them and ordered some online for home. Monika's dinner was beautifully presented and delicious, the kind of meal that might cost at least twice as much at a big-city restaurant. Then she made one of her own stuffed French toast creations for breakfast, which was superb. The food is world-class, but there's also a personal warmth that's harder to find these days. My wife spent 20-30 minutes chatting with Monika about recipes and cooking tips. This place could almost deserve more than five stars.

I was glad I found this little gem online, and I hope I can come back. The burgundy room was a pleasure to stay in, with a very comfortable bed and a spotlessly clean room. Monika and Jeff were lovely hosts. Jeff makes great coffee, and Monika's breakfast was delicious. I was curious about all the artifacts displayed on the first floor; some of their background stories are written in the notebook in the room. Monika and Jeff also have plenty of travel stories to share. Thanks to both of them for making the stay memorable.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, and Monika and Jeff are both friendly, thoughtful hosts. They can suggest places to visit and things to do if you'd like, though I mostly wanted to unwind from a hectic routine, and they made that easy. The Chestnut Inn is near where my husband hunts, so we've stayed together a couple of times and enjoyed each visit. The atmosphere and style are distinctive but still suit different moods. Downstairs, you can sit quietly with a book or spend time with other guests; meals can be at your own table or shared, and we've tried both options. It's a welcome gesture in a time when people can be guarded. Monika is a real gourmet cook, with Mediterranean dishes, plenty of variety, and lovely presentation. She asks what foods you enjoy and makes sure you're happy with the meal. I expect she'll be famous someday, and I'll be proud to say I've known her and enjoyed her cooking. The chestnut coffee is delicious if you drink coffee, and they kept a fresh pot ready all the time. My husband and I recommend the place.

We came for a weekend escape and found a real hidden gem. The innkeepers were so friendly, and chatting with them over breakfast was a lot of fun. Chef Monika makes delicious food and can cook vegetarian meals too, which not everyone offers. She has won many awards, and Jeff and Monika together have brought this B&B into the world's top 10. The rooms and shared spaces were kept clean, with the current COVID guidelines followed. Five stars for the hosts, cooking, and hospitality. I'm already looking forward to coming back and trying Monika's dinner menu.

Talking with Monika and Jeff was the best part of our visit. They're the sort of kind people who leave you glad you met them. My husband and I stayed in the Burgundy Room this past week, our first time at a B&B, and we were very happy with the experience. The room was lovely and comfortable, and we enjoyed the house and grounds. Monika's meals were exquisite, with just the right balance: rich and satisfying, but never too heavy or filling. We'll definitely return.
