Best Western Shelbyville Inn and Suites Celebration Inn

The housekeeping could be better. It's not very bad, but there's room to improve. I really liked the staff; they were considerate and listened. Breakfast was great and delicious. The location is quiet and close to downtown, Walmart, and several fast-food places.

The tub wouldn't drain, and while I showered someone else's filth came up through it. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, breakfast was decent, coffee was good, the water pressure was great, and they provided room service even though I hadn't asked for it. The microwave, TV, and fridge were all plugged into a surge protector, which was connected to a wall outlet brick. The microwave kept overheating and tripping the surge protector, shutting off the TV and fridge too. Resetting it took a couple of minutes, so even a quick microwave meal took several minutes longer than it should have.

When I mentioned something about the room to the guy at the front desk, he said I was the first person to bring it up. Lol, 🤷🏽‍♂️. The round toilet had an elongated seat, the bathroom vent was filthy, there was mildew on the tub ceiling, and the inside of the front door was smudged with grime. It's one of those dirty motels like in the movies, with the Best Western name on it. I've got a few other things to say, but I'll let you see for yourself. Good luck!

We've stayed twice. It's pretty standard, very clean, and easy to check in and out. I always check the bedsheets and bathroom first, and they were clean. If family or friends want a decent hotel in town, this is one of the few places we'd recommend.
