Fran is really friendly and available if you have questions. My Aunt and I got the larger two-bedroom unit with four beds. It was a treat for us and would be great for a bigger family too. I love this little motel, it’s a good place to get settled before heading out for the day.

Fran, the proprietor, is one reason my business partner and I keep coming back. We’ve been at The Easterner for the last three summers, usually three to five stays a summer, several days at a time, and we wouldn’t consider going elsewhere. The motel is extremely quiet and convenient for everything we want in the Hamptons. Inside, the rooms are squeaky clean, with full kitchens, updated appliances and furnishings, and high-quality, super comfortable mattresses. I’ve stayed in all kinds of hotels around the world, and this place meets my needs completely. No complaints at all.

I stayed here during the summer while working in the Hamptons, and I’d recommend it to anyone traveling there. The owner is friendly and incredibly hospitable, and the service is perfect. The rooms don’t have a flaw at all.

Fran, the owner, is delightful and really helpful. She lends out beach chairs, umbrellas, and towels at no extra charge, and there are newspapers in the front office. For beach time, it’s a short walk to the one on Peconic Road. The first stretch may look too rocky for lounging, but about 200-300 yards down the path to the left there’s a nice flat, sandy spot. The cottages are tucked away and feel nothing like a traditional motel. A typical room has two large comfy beds, a couple of tables, a new dresser and TV, and a kitchenette. There’s a good-sized bathroom in the back left corner with a stand-up shower. They’re simple, cute rooms with what you need for a weekend. The cottages stay cool and shady, so in my experience the AC wasn’t really necessary at night, even though the rooms have AC units. If you like the beach, pool, and a BBQ with friends, it’s wonderful and hard to beat for the price. If you’re looking for the Hamptons scene and nightclubs, it probably won’t suit you. It’s a beautiful little hidden gem.

I had a short stay in a studio apartment in Fran’s house. The apartment was lovely and the bed was super comfortable. Fran is awesome, she goes out of her way to make you comfortable and get you what you need. Highly recommend.
