The Crossings at Short Pump

I lived at The Crossings for a little over a year, and the utilities, upkeep, and overall apartment condition were poor for the rent. There always seemed to be something wrong. When we moved in, there was no ethernet cable, so Verizon had to install one. The dishwasher kickplate wasn’t latched, the built-in sink tub was loose, and the bedrooms had no central overhead lights. The bedroom switches did nothing, and the thermostat was coming off the wall and never seemed to change to the temperature we set. Water pressure was terrible throughout the apartment, from the shower and bathroom sink to the kitchen sink and dish water. Bugs kept showing up in the cabinets and behind the fridge. My roommate and I put in work orders every other month for someone to come “fix” it, but the bugs always came back. There were also a lot of kids, and the parents didn’t keep them quiet. I don’t miss that since moving out. The towing company came almost every night and showed no mercy to cars without a sticker. My car was towed on my first night because I’d just moved in and planned to put my new sticker on in the morning. No call, warning, or email first.
