Home2 Suites by Hilton Shreveport

Room 415. Breakfast was great, with no complaints, and the shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. The bathroom faucet barely had enough pressure to rinse a toothbrush, though. The room also wasn’t as clean as I’d hoped, and the HVAC made an annoying low whine all night. It only had high or low fan settings, no auto, so it kept running. Getting here from the freeway means driving through a pretty rough area not too far away. The signs in the parking lot saying they aren’t responsible for break-ins and theft weren’t reassuring, though thankfully nothing happened to my vehicle. Louisiana roads suck, and service isn’t as awesome as some other places, but this hotel works in a pinch. It’s not as nice as some Home2’s, though still better than the Hamptons have gotten. Overall, I’d stay again.

Loved the service here, and I’d recommend it 10 out of 10. Hannah, the front manager, is amazing. She was handling customer calls, then came out during a really busy breakfast to listen to people and jump into action.

This place in Shreveport was fantastic, unlike the Home2 suites in Jackson, MS where we stayed the night before. We had all our essentials, and the staff were wonderful. The woman at the desk this morning was energetic, sweet, kind, and generous. She even helped with the laundry, which only took quarters. She’d worked overnight and was still up at 4am like me. I wish I’d caught her name. I’d recommend this place.

The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and all the staff were nice and professional. The parking setup makes it look like spaces are limited, though I’ve never had trouble finding somewhere to park. Both nights I stayed, something like trash pickup at the nearby shopping area happened early in the morning and woke me between 4:00am and 5:00am, even though I’m not a light sleeper. I think I noticed the same thing during my last stay.
