Mayfair Motel

I only wound up here because circumstances left me little choice. The main reason I wanted to stay was that I could walk to a lot of places. But when I tried to get a soda from the vending machine, a drunk man followed me around outside, and the owners wouldn't do anything about harassment from other guests, not even call the police for me. We stayed nearly 30 days, and for almost all that time there was no smoke or carbon monoxide detector in our room. I thought there was one until a younger guy came in asking to install it. The price was $90 a night at first. After about a week, the owner raised it to $115. When I asked, he admitted he was charging that rate to the state for vouchers. I think he's openly defrauding the state and taking advantage of homeless people. It's gross. On my last day, he yelled at me and was hard to understand, repeating, “no more than 30 days.” When I arrived and explained what we were dealing with, he never told me there was a time limit. I think the location is why the owner is so mean. At this point, I honestly think something sketchy is going on there.

There were roaches in the tub and on the floor. The toilet had dry blood and dirt on it, and the room hadn't been cleaned before I got there.

It was so good I don't even remember being there 😂

People arguing loudly all the time.
