The room was quiet, clean, and updated, which was a huge relief after the place I’d booked through Vrbo turned out filthy and obviously hadn’t been cleaned. I’m picky about hotels and would rather sleep in my car than stay somewhere that seems dirty or sketchy. I’ve also seen the older rooms here, and those are very clean too. It was nearly midnight by the time I got there. After repacking my car and trying to sort things out with Vrbo support, I called around for a room, and most places didn’t sound too happy to hear from someone that late. John at the front desk was kind and patient, though, and waited for me to arrive. I’m writing this from the room now and feeling so relieved. My original plans falling apart is how I found this place, and I’m glad I know it’s here.

The remodeled rooms feel carefully done, with a modern, super clean bathroom and shower. I slept well, and it’s an amazing value for the money. The new ownership and management have made a real difference here.

New management has kept up the friendly, easygoing service we’ve always found here. We’ve stayed many times, and the rooms have consistently been clean and affordable, with the basics we need to be comfortable: heat, a fridge, a microwave, good water pressure, and hot water. It’s pet-friendly too, and a great addition to the area.

We spent some time relaxing by the pool, which was comfortable and quiet. The couple running the inn were friendly, and we had a nice conversation while checking in. They told us how the remodeling and upgrades are coming along. We stayed for the 4th of July, and although the room was in keeping with the price point, everything in it was brand new. The shower head and water pressure were great, and the room felt fresh and clean.

The room we stayed in was upstairs and hadn’t had the full renovation yet. I got the impression they’d taken care of the repairs it needed, with the bigger upgrade still to come. The caretakers offered to move us, probably to a renovated room downstairs, but we preferred staying upstairs. The TV and fridge seemed very new and were easy to use. We watched Netflix films and Disney plus through the hotel's account without any trouble, and the blackout curtains kept out a decent amount of light. The people caring for the place on behalf of the new owners were friendly and accommodating, and seemed to enjoy their work. Under the new ownership, the Inn is still being upgraded. The lobby was classy, clean, and nice, and gave me a sense of the quality they’re aiming for when renovations are finished. Even the outside looked very nice under the snow, as if that might have been one of the first things they fixed up. If you’re there in winter during a snowstorm, you’ll most likely see snow, which was fun for our kids. The Inn sits just a little above the snow level. Depending on how comfortable you are driving in snow, bring chains or plan to bring an early dinner back to the room. Our 10-year-old played in a patch of dirt covered with snow, but I wouldn’t recommend that for tiny kids because it’s right next to the highway. Snowplow trucks cleared the parking lot in the morning and evening on a workday. There’s also a nice coffee shop across the street that opens every morning, so you can get breakfast without driving. We’d stay here with our family again. It’s very good value. I can’t believe it’s only a 2-star hotel. That doesn’t make sense to me.
