I was in town for business all week and booked a small suite with a king bed. It had a comfortable bed, couch, mini fridge, and microwave, so I had space to rest, work, and put together simple meals. The fitness center was small but adequate, and the pool and hot tub looked nice, though I didn't use them. Breakfast was decent, though I've had better at other locations. I appreciated the takeout bags and boxes, especially on a day I was running behind. It was a restful stay at the Holiday Inn express.

The location felt safe and was handy for shopping and other stores. There's a gas station beside the hotel, and it's near highways leading to Tombstone and Bisbee, the well-known towns in southern Arizona. My room was clean and had the essentials, breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly.

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub, which were beautiful and scenic, and breakfast was great. The hotel was clean and up to date. The elevator wasn't working while we were there, and since our room was on the third floor, that was a hassle. I'd stay again.

We stayed last night and were very disappointed. The elevator was out, so we had to carry our luggage up the stairs, and then our room key didn't work. The front desk woman was rude. Dogs down the hall barked all night, even after we complained to the front desk twice. The lobby was 77 degrees, and when we went down to play cards with another couple, we were all sweltering. People were walking their dogs around, including through the breakfast area. It was disgusting.

The nearby restaurants are a plus, but I can't quite give this four stars. The AC is so loud that we had to turn the TV way up, and it blows for about two minutes before stopping and leaving the room warm. The beds and pillows were too soft for me. Dogs are allowed, but only on the first floor, where people walking around all night make it noisy. Not the best IHG hotel.
