The condo is spacious and nice, and the grounds and pool area are clean and tidy. The pool was closed for maintenance, fire alarms went off and loud construction happened every day, none of which was communicated to us or the unit owner. We had no hot water for the first 48 hours, and there was no urgency to fix it, only excuses. The manager suggested we shower at the pool with our clothes on, which made no sense. We were made to feel as if we were inventing the hot water problem. After the tank was fixed, trash was left in our small can. We were told to wait until around 11:30 for the manager to check the water; she said she'd need to call the owner, then called offering coffee and said she would stop for coffee regardless of whether we wanted any. We wanted the issue checked immediately because we didn't know what was wrong and worried the tank might burst and damage the condo. We made four calls. I phoned at 8:37 a.m. after hearing nothing from the owner. At 8:57, the manager called to say she was coming with coffee, and she arrived around 9:30. While there, she spoke with the owner and said a Sunday plumber would cost extra. We heard the whole call. She then suggested my husband use the pool shower with clothes on. At 10:26 we called for beach directions, and she returned the call two minutes later to help, which we appreciated. I attached the call log and a photo for the record. I tried hard to write a fair review, but expected the company response. I disagree with it because it came from the person involved and had inaccuracies. I still posted to warn others before booking, since that's the point of the rating system. The place describes walking trails, but these are really just a path, maybe 0.10 of a mile, to seats by the peaceful canal. Bring bug spray. Signage for the beach was missing or covered, and there wasn't an Anchorage flag marking private beach space, so people may tell you to move if you sit in the wrong section. The property has poor management and confusing directions and rules apparently voted on by residents, which assume everyone understands despite many families only staying for a week. Vacationers don't seem to be a priority or well accommodated. The company's response did not reflect how that call went.
