Calini Beach Club by Coolvacay

We were told on arrival that the elevator would be out for our entire stay, even though I'd called over a month ahead, before the RCI exchange, to confirm there was one. Our room was on the top floor, up five flights of stairs. A commercial lift was available on Saturday to move luggage, but it started pouring while our bags were on it. It took about five minutes to get them off, and everything inside was soaked. Since it rains in Florida, I don't understand why there wasn't anything to cover the bags. Love bugs were everywhere. I have a photo of how many got inside in just one day, despite the doors and windows being shut. The balcony had no screen, so we couldn't use it. The laundry room was dirty, so we skipped it, and a load cost $2 in quarters. When I asked about places to eat, I was told everything nearby was horrible and wasn't given any suggestions. I don't recommend this place and won't return.

The grounds are beautiful, the staff are friendly, and there are lots of activities. The pool is one of the biggest on Siesta Key, and the resort is just steps from one of the world's most beautiful beaches. Thanks so much. I'm looking forward to coming back. Sorry the weather wasn't better on the day I took the pictures.

The location is great, close to the beach, and there's a pool and hot tub. The units are beginning to look worn, with dirty lanai and some cracked indoor tiles. It feels a little expensive for what you get.

My room was large and clean, and it was peaceful, with the beach only a few steps away. The staff were extremely pleasant, and I would've gladly stayed again. Update: I went to Siesta Key last November, but didn't stay at CALINI BEACH CLUB. The view I remember from seven years ago is completely gone now, blocked by a huge condo. I treasure those earlier memories.
