What you get depends a lot on the unit. Some are updated nicely, while others clearly aren't, so that's the main downside. It's expensive too, and prices climb as peak season gets closer. We went just before full season, which helped, though it still wasn't cheap. The setting is lovely, the grounds are kept up, and getting to the beach is easy. The beach setup is convenient, the atmosphere is laid-back, and the residents are friendly. We've had no issues across our stays, and this is our third January visit. I'd recommend it, as long as you know what you're paying for. Solid 4 stars, if not 4.5.

We come for five weeks in the fall, though rentals require a one-month minimum. Most of the units are owner-occupied, and about 25% are rentals. Each one is different, with prices based on rating, location and time of year. The property is right next to Siesta Key Public Beach, an easy walk when there are activities there. The six main buildings surround a gorgeous courtyard with two pools and a pretty pond with two Swans and other tropical birds. There's also a smaller pool by building F, and a very nice fitness center. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. Norka, Eddie & Robert at the guardhouse are friendly and helpful, and the office staff are nice too. A quality place beside the #1 beach in the U.S.!

The two pools are usually empty, so they feel almost private. Siesta Key's white sand beach is beautiful, and the waves were the smallest I've ever seen anywhere. The condo itself was spacious, lovely and well maintained.

I've stayed here for years. It's always immaculate.

We stay at bayside and use the beach access at the Gulf and Bay Club. Every guard has been considerate except one, an older man with a mustache. He's given us a hard time several times and shows no consideration for elderly or disabled people. The other guards kindly open the gate so we don't have to shuffle through the narrow door, but he won't. He also refused to let us drop off our Mom after her knee replacement surgery. We weren't asking to park, just to drop her off. He's on a power trip, and it doesn't look good.
