The main thing that could keep us from coming back soon is the planned two-year window replacement project. We've been through one in another building and found it annoying. Getting to a public beach is also less convenient than the listing suggests, and the property photo is a little misleading. Everything across the street is private, so it's a long walk to a public beach or a matter of finding a space in the huge public lots. The beach is the main reason to visit Siesta Key, and the traffic gridlock certainly isn't. Still, we loved our 16 days at Harbor Towers #414. The condo suited two people well, and we enjoyed the lanai, even though it never got sun. The owner sent a replacement blender when the one there stopped working. Harbor Towers itself is excellent, with welcoming, helpful staff and residents. The pool area is beautiful, though a bit small for a building this size. We especially liked the quieter, more peaceful bayside area in the afternoon. We hope to return in a couple of years.

We'll definitely stay in unit 311 again. It's comfortable and clean, with a screened balcony overlooking the yacht club and the water. The owners even left two lovely thank-you gifts on the entry table. The building is beautiful. The pool area is clean and has grills, plus there's a covered patio, community room and full kitchen. On the harbor's backside, there are spots to sit and fish or just relax and watch the water.

From Harbor Towers, it's a short walk or a free trolley ride to Siesta Key Beach, voted #1 in the USA, with its powdery white sand. The IntraCoastal gives you a place to kayak or fish, or to watch for Dolphins and catch the Sunrise from the seawall. You get both sides of the experience here. There's nothing like that beach!

The hallways are wide and clean, and guests have parking. There's a nice pool with grills, picnic tables and chairs, plus a good view of the marina and its docked boats. Siesta Beach is very close, either on foot or by trolley. Expect to see a lot of retirees, whether they live in the building or are visiting. I wish there were more families with kids around.

We've stayed in several rooms and they've all been kept up nicely, most with recent renovations. The turtles love blueberries out front. The fishing on the intercoastal is excellent, and there are lots of chairs for lounging, reading and watching dolphins. The pool area has plenty of chairs, the grounds are well maintained, and the boat slips seem roomy. There are A LOT of stupid rules, though. They've stopped us from buying here. Beware of nosey naysayers!!
