Midnight Cove #714, Bayside in Siesta Key, FL

Our three-bedroom unit in building #4 was clean and well cared for. Getting to the beach was easy, and the chair and umbrella service there was excellent. Luke was friendly, professional, and a big help, as were the polite office staff. We had an excellent stay and thought it was a great vacation spot.

We’ve stayed at Gulf Front midnight Cove at least six times, and we love it there. It’s such a good spot for families, with clean, updated units. You can rent kayaks and paddle boards right on the private beach. The guy renting the water toys will dig a hole for your umbrella. Tip him nicely and he’ll get you set up for the whole week 😊

The beach section is gated, which helps keep people who aren’t staying at Midnight Cove off that part of the beach. There are two pools, one beachside and one bayside, and the bayside condos can use the restroom by the beachside pool. Both areas have grilling stations, handy for making dinner yourselves. Nearby you’ll find a daiquiri bar, small grocery store, boat and wave runner rentals, an ice cream parlor, and plenty of bars and restaurants. You can manage without a car. The free trolley goes to the Siesta key village, where parking is both hard to find and not free. It’s a well-kept property and the office staff are nice. One catch: even when a unit sleeps six, the Midnight Cove beach attendant is instructed to provide only four chairs and one umbrella. That leaves two people without chairs, and one umbrella is tough for six. Extra umbrellas cost $25 a day, so we bought a couple at 5 below.

This was our second year at Midnight Cove, and they came through for us again. The property is lovely, with amenities and places to eat close by. The staff are personable and professional, clearly well trained. On Employee Appreciation Day, I think they all deserve a bow. Siesta Key is beautiful, and we’ll choose Midnight Cove again in 2023.
