The kitchen has basic pots, pans, utensils, and coffee for cooking, but no oil or spices. I loved having the beach chairs, umbrella, and towels there for us to use, and the free Siesta Key trolley runs right past the parking lot, making getting around easy even without a car. It's a lovely, quiet group of bungalows on Heron Lagoon, with a shared outdoor area of grills, tables, and nicely arranged lounge chairs. Daniel was super responsive, friendly, and helpful, and clearly loves the area. After our first visit to Siesta Key, we're hooked and would definitely stay at Gertrude Siesta Bungalows again.

We brought the family to Siesta Key Bungalows for a wedding celebration later on and a family reunion, and it was everything we hoped for and more. Everyone had their own private unit, recently updated, and there was plenty of space to spend time together in the beautiful patio area and neighborhood. We loved the heated pool, dock for watching sunsets over the water, and all the grills. The property manager brought us paddle boards during our stay, and they were wonderful for paddling out from the dock. Owner Dan kept in touch and answered all our questions. We enjoyed it so much we're already planning to come back next year!

We felt comfortable and safe the whole time, and have already recommended the place to friends. Our cottage was clean and cool when we arrived. The lagoon view from the dock was lovely, and we also spent one of our lazy days by the pool instead of heading out. It was affordable, secluded, and quiet, while still just a few minutes from Siesta Key Beach. The kitchen was small, with room for only one person to cook or wash dishes comfortably, and the bathroom didn't have a fan. Those were minor quibbles in an otherwise great stay, and we'd definitely return.

We've been coming to the bungalows every year since 2016 and absolutely love it. The beautiful property makes it easy to relax, and it's close to everything while still tucked into a peaceful neighborhood. I do miss the kayaks they used to offer. Bring bikes, it's a great area to ride around and enjoy the scenery, without having to worry about parking.

The bungalow was pretty much as shown in the listing, with cute amenities, nice outdoor seating and common areas, and a kitchen that seemed well equipped, though we only used it for coffee. There was a strong musty smell when we arrived. The dehumidifier was there but not running, and after we turned it on it took several days to reduce the odor. It never really went away. There were also lots of small ants in the kitchen. These problems may be common in a very humid climate, but they caught us off guard, though other guests may not mind them. The unit had seen better days. It had recently been painted, but the bathroom doors, walls, and shower were deteriorated.
