Siesta Sands Beach Resort

The ocean view from our unit, 611, was perfect, and each room had its own balcony. We watched beautiful sunsets every night, and the beach was only a minute away. There were four of us, though the place can fit more. It was spacious and clean, with a full kitchen that helped us save money by cooking in. The only shortfall was not having enough towels or toilet paper. It is a little pricey, but splitting the cost among more people makes it well worth it. We loved every minute of our first stay at Siesta Sands Beach Resort.

We spent a week in Unit 512 and are already looking forward to coming back. The beach was gorgeous, the amenities were beautiful and well cared for, and everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. We did have a couple of minor plumbing problems, but maintenance dealt with them quickly and efficiently.

There were lots of good restaurants and cool shops nearby, and the elevator was repaired after the outage, so everything was fine. We were on the sixth floor without an elevator for a while. The hurricane had caused some damage, mainly power outages. We normally go to the gulf side, but tried this place because of the storm. I'm not much of a fan of the Atlantic Ocean, and unfortunately we won't be back.

This is a condo, not a hotel, so there isn't maid service, a restaurant or a bar, and it doesn't claim to offer those things. For the price, it was decent, and the new grill worked well, though remember to bring your own tools. We liked the contact-free check-in, assigned parking and daily elevator disinfection. The room also smelled clean, and sanitation seemed to be taken seriously. The beach sand is the best around, the location is good, and the small pool wasn't a problem since there were few people. But units are individually owned and vary a lot. We had two, and one was clearly nicer than the other. In unit 509, the TV setup was poor so we mostly watched on our phones, the fridge door wouldn't open all the way, lighting was weak, and the generic remotes didn't look clean enough to want to touch. The details keep this from being a great stay. Updated fixtures and some high hats would improve that unit.
