We’ve visited Siesta Key at least twice a year and tried all sorts of places, from beachfront condos to Airbnbs and resorts. This time we chose Turtle Beach Resort on a whim while my husband was traveling for work, bringing our cat for a weekend getaway because they welcome cats. Our expectations were pretty modest, but the place turned out to be a hidden gem. The gardens were lush and beautifully kept, with fountains trickling, birds singing, and greenery all around. It felt peaceful as soon as we arrived. Mark greeted us warmly, showed us around, and even walked with us to our condo. Our unit had a private jacuzzi, two tucked-away patios, and a dock of its own. Reaching the top of the stairs and seeing across the water took my breath away. The view was stunning. After so many visits to Siesta Key, I can hardly believe we stayed elsewhere. Turtle Beach Resort suited us perfectly, with the quiet, privacy, and connection to nature we wanted. People looking for a lively party scene might prefer somewhere closer to the main beach area, but this place is beautiful for a peaceful stay. We couldn’t be happier and look forward to coming back.

The Jasmine room had a small kitchenette, a nicely sized bed, and a private courtyard with a hot tub, hammock, and lounge chairs. They also have beach chairs, bikes, fishing gear, and kayaks to borrow. We had a relaxing short getaway, just what we needed. There are lovely views, and Siesta Key Beach is within walking distance for sunset watching. We skipped dinner out and used the gas grill by the heated community pool, which has the best view in town. Great choice if you want a peaceful, natural Florida-style setting. 🌴

The Rainforest room was clean and comfy, and we loved our stay. The owners were kind, accommodating, and had great local tips. We really enjoyed the hot tub. We’ll absolutely be back and can’t recommend this place enough!

Update: This was the best staycation! The staff were amazing, knowledgeable, and helpful, especially Sarah. It has a comfortable, home-like feel rather than the feel of a “5 star resort,” and I felt at ease walking around. There’s plenty to do, from using the resort’s bikes, kayaks, and fishing gear to relaxing or walking to the beach for sunset. The trolley can take you all the way into Sarasota. We’ll definitely return! We booked a last-minute staycation for the USMC birthday and Veterans Day. Even before the stay, the customer service had me looking forward to it. They were so helpful during booking and took time to explain everything. The follow-up email with local things to do was especially useful since we’d only lived in the area for a year. I couldn’t wait for the visit and planned to add photos and an update afterward.

I spent Christmas at the secluded Jasmine cottage to recharge and relax, and it was the best thing I’ve ever done. The area is beautiful, with Turtle Beach and two restaurants within walking distance. I watched the sunrise from the resort and the sunset from the beach, so I got the best of both worlds with water on either side. People around there are so friendly, saying hi instead of looking down and ignoring you. I absolutely loved it and will make this a yearly thing 💯%!!!🥰
