We were so pleased with this overnight stop on our drive to Michigan that we booked a room for the return trip before leaving. The hotel and our spacious room were spotless and comfortable. The restaurant and breakfast staff were welcoming, friendly, and knew their stuff. Joseph, the manager, deserves a special mention for going above and beyond with his service. I’d recommend this Fairfield Inn in Sikeston, MO to anyone passing through, and we’ll definitely stay again.
Joseph at the front desk told me about a new hotel concept that I think all the Fairfield’s should adopt. He’s an amazing person, and I love this place. Breakfast won me over completely, especially the oatmeal with eight different toppings, plus the great selection and coffee. They also have water with fresh lime and cucumber infused in it at night. I’ll keep staying at this location whenever I travel from the Midwest back down south.
Our King Suite was roomy, and the breakfast was great. I’d read lots of good reviews and knew the hotel was newly built early last year, in 2025, so I chose it over Hampton Inn, even though I’m a member there. The onsite bar and restaurant weren’t open, which was the one disappointment. This will be my place to stay whenever I’m in town, as long as it doesn’t get run down.
The hotel is convenient to the main highway and close to the essentials around town. It’s clean, well maintained, and the staff were helpful and friendly. The front desk people were kind, housekeeping worked hard, and the breakfast crew welcomed us with a variety of hot items. I liked the modern decor and local Missouri maps in the lobby, especially the unique wood block map of downtown Sikeston behind the check-in desk, along with the original artwork. The room had coffee, a small fridge, and a microwave. I travel with a fan to block noise and slept well; the blackout blinds helped too. The bed and pillows struck a good balance between soft and firm. Lotion, shampoo, conditioner, and soap were pleasant, and the shower had strong pressure and got hot enough to relax after a long drive and workout in the ample gym. The gym has free weights, an all-in-one resistance machine, and cooled filtered water; there’s also a filtered water tap by the ice machines. The indoor pool felt mildly warm and comfortable after a minute to adjust. Laundry is available if needed. It was a very enjoyable stay.
Breakfast was good, with nutritious choices, and the service was great. Miss Rebecca was wonderful and made sure the food and atmosphere were both A+. Thanks to her and the rest of the staff. The hotel was clean and nice, and everyone was helpful.
