I stayed in Treehouse for three months. The buildings feel cheaply built, and sound carries so much that footsteps, vacuuming, and even conversations from the hall or other units are hard to ignore. The units are subpar, and my particular one had stained, smelly furniture, sheets that hadn't been washed, and spills left on the carpet and flooring. It still cost $3000 a month, as though it were premium accommodation. The hot tub and laundry room were dirty and often used by groups of young college kids. Most people here are vacationers, and they act like it. The HOA let themselves into my unit twice without warning while I was staying there, including once when I was in the shower. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

The buildings are around 40 years old and have plenty of problems: thin walls, frequent water shutoffs, no washer or dryer in the unit, and noisy vacationers. Carrying furniture up to a third floor is difficult because the stairs are narrow and there’s no elevator. Management didn't seem to care when the water was off for days. An underground leak wasn't repaired promptly, and the streets around the buildings weren't properly cleared in winter. I don't think this is a place for a family to live. I'll add pictures later. I hoped the new management company would be better, but so far it doesn't look that way. I rent between two airbnbs at Treehouse. Some visitors are decent and considerate, but others show no respect for residents. The latest ones made noise late at night and left trash beside the stairs instead of taking it to the dumpster. The owner may not even know, but it sat there for a week. As you might expect in very old buildings, another underground water leak left our building without water for five days. It was turned on for two hours in the morning and two hours at night. The access road also isn't cleared properly in winter. This place is a gueto, a dump. If you care about your family, don't rent or buy here.

There’s no washer or dryer in the unit, and management doesn’t shovel snow on weekends, or even on Fridays in May, referring to the 5/21/22 snow. My car got booted twice, with absolutely no leniency, and it cost $140 to have it removed. Tenants have to go through the owners to contact management directly. Airbnbers can be loud and disrespectful. The one bright spot was our unit's owner, who was amazing.

We registered both vehicles we were allowed to have through the clunky website, but still had to pay $140 to get a boot removed so we could go skiing. Eugene with Colorado Booting tried to run us over with his car when we wanted to pay by credit card. It felt like a scam, and the building is in pretty bad shape, too. I've stayed at plenty of other condo complexes in Wildernest and never encountered booting this aggressive toward guests. We had registered our two cars, yet Eugene still refused to do anything unless we paid him.

The pool is tiny, more like an oversized hot tub than somewhere to swim. It might suit small children, though. The clean clubhouse has games, an exercise room, and hot tubs. These are older condos from the late 60's, set high on the shoulder of Buffalo Mtn among natural surroundings and linked by boardwalks. White River National forest is just across the road, and the views are panoramic. It's mostly quiet, though you can hear sounds from the neighboring condos.
