I usually stay in three or four star hotels, and this was better than most of them. The rooms were very quiet, I didn’t hear anyone in the other rooms, and the beds were comfortable, with a somewhat soft mattress. Everything was newer than in most hotels I’ve stayed in, and the place was clean. Our room had a balcony with a wonderful view. A few things to know: I never saw anyone during the trip, and I got the door code by text. The restaurant downstairs was closed for maintenance the whole time. The bathroom was clean, and the shower pressure was a little lower than I like at home, but it wasn’t a problem. The ceiling fan kept the room cool.

The Bent Elbow was easy to check into, and the room looked just like the pictures. Everything was clean, with plenty of bathroom and kitchen supplies for a longer visit. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk away, and we had a nice mountain view. We were only there briefly, but would stay again.

Silverton feels like stepping back in time, and the Bent Elbow fit right in. The historic town is lovely, and our room was comfortably and thoughtfully renovated. Check-in was easy, and we really enjoyed the stay.

The mountain views from every window were fantastic. At The BE, you’re surrounded by a really majestic natural setting. The rooms mix rustic charm with modern convenience, and are more than adequate, somewhere well above a Motel 6 but nowhere near the Ritz. You’re not coming to Silverton for a Four Seasons, leave that bougie stuff to ASspen. Check-in and checkout by text were smooth and convenient. Just take care on the drive into town. The mountain passes look frightening on a stormy February day.

Great location, a nice balcony, comfortable beds, good restaurant downstairs, and a clean room. But if you’re a light sleeper, I wouldn’t recommend it. The walls are so thin you can hear every word from next door. In room #1, the floorboards connect to the next room, and the neighbors’ footsteps made them creak and pop loudly in our room. It’s not a good fit if you want to sleep early and get up early.
