After a cold day downtown with the Dickens characters, it was nice to come back, have a bourbon, and sit by the gas fireplace with soft music playing. We booked 34 State for a weekend in Skaneateles for the Dickens Festival. Our room, dining room, and downstairs sitting area all felt inviting, and the room was comfortable and nicely appointed. The small kitchen had coffee and snacks available around the clock. It’s handy to downtown and Genesee Street, with shops, restaurants, and cafés nearby. We’d recommend it for a quiet, relaxing stay.

Katie welcomed Karen, Sweet Eve and me to her lovely home, and our stay in the Barrow suite was wonderful. She brought breakfast to our room, and it was scruptous. My wife says Katie made the best omelet ever and is asking for the recipe. Thanks, Katie, for such a perfect stay!

We picked the charming Stag Horn Suite for our anniversary, and it was a lovely place to celebrate. Everything was spotless and cozy, and the room had been thoughtfully prepared. It’s easy to walk to the shops and restaurants from here. The stay felt peaceful and well cared for. Highly recommend!

The bedding alone makes this place worth a visit. The property is historic but still comfortable and welcoming, and Katie is an amazing host. I’ve stayed at plenty of places in Skaneateles, and this one is now my favorite.

34 State is wonderfully peaceful, even though the village of Skaneateles is just a stone’s throw away. The inn is beautiful, decorated with care and an artistic eye, and the rooms are private, cozy, and fully equipped. Katie was generous and gracious, and went out of her way to welcome me and accommodate my needs. Many thanks to Katie and the wonderful staff at 34 State.
