The massage was relaxing, the linens were clean, and both the front desk and treatment staff were friendly. Booking online was easy. Still, I probably won’t return. The spa felt much too crowded and loud: when we finished our couples massage around 10:45, the women’s locker room and hot tub were shoulder to shoulder, so we left instead of staying to relax. The pools were off-putting, too. Slimy algae strings floated in the relaxation room pool, while the outdoor hot tub was cloudy, full of debris, and smelled awful, much worse than chlorine. The walls and surfaces looked dingy, and much of the spa had a wet dog or musty smell. Food and drinks cost extra and were VERY pricey, so we ate elsewhere. Other spas nearby offer better value.

My husband and I had a great first spa and massage experience here. My Nanny family had raved about the place, and I was impressed by the massage, cleanliness, staff, and the experience overall. As a first-timer, I wish someone had shown me around the women's locker room. I agreed when a male staff member offered to explain things verbally, so that part was on me. We hope to make this trip at least once a year. The Art of Living Couples experience massage was perfect for enjoying time together and getting a break from life. Highly recommend. We visited the spa, not the Inn.

Mary’s massage was truly amazing, and the staff and services were great on my first visit. The facility was clean and well kept, though a few areas could use minor repairs. The noise in common areas got in the way: despite the signs, people talked and used phones in the hot tub, steam room, and sauna, and you could hear people screaming from the hot tub while lying in the quiet space. When I arrived I got only a brief locker room tour. I left early because I was hungry, without realizing the restaurant, bar, or complimentary workout classes were available. Those were on the reservation sheet, but a reminder and directions would have helped. There were no light snacks or coffee, just water and tea, which I didn’t expect at a high-end place. The toiletries were fairly basic for the cost. This is feedback, not meant as a complaint. Service was excellent, and a few small improvements could make the visit even better.

The facility is beautiful, and the room, staff, and food were lovely. My husband enjoyed his deep tissue massage, but my prenatal massage was terrible. The bed in the massage room was very hard, and the massage felt like someone giving me a back rub for the first time. It cost $200 something dollars, and I wouldn’t get it again. Pros and cons.

The view from our room and across the resort was a winter wonderland. Faith, our housekeeping contact, was accommodating and professional, and treated us with sincere respect. I first visited in 2000, the year Mirbeau opened, and the rooms still have a warm, inviting feel with regal touches. The attention to detail is impeccable, from the exquisite toiletries and eucalyptus shower spray to the oversized claw tub and fireplace that turns on at the touch of a button. Since my last visit in September 2025, the women’s locker room has gained lovely improvements, including new space and wallpaper that adds fresh charm. We always enjoy the spa’s outdoor area, especially the hot tub with its rocks and waterfall, plus the fireplace and food and beverage area. We’ve visited spas across Europe, including France, and having Mirbeau near our summer place is a luxury.
