Cherry Lane Motor Inn

We could feel the bed springs, and the room smelled really musty. It was filthy, with cobwebs, bugs on the windowsill, and peeling paint all over the bathroom floor. The whole place needs a major overhaul; the owners don't seem to put time or money into it. They have three dogs, which is fine, but one showed its teeth and blocked us from entering the stairway when we came back at night. We had to yell for someone to get the dogs. There was dog poop around the grounds, so don't let kids play on the grass. The swing set was broken and dangerous anyway, and all the benches were broken too. Absolutely disgusting. Don't stay here.

This is a basic but comfortable place, not somewhere to go for luxury. Our second-floor room was fine, and being on the corner was no issue.

It was quiet, the A/C worked, and the price was low, so it wasn't a bad option for the money. The room was mostly clean, though the floor was grimy enough that I wouldn't go barefoot. The windows didn't shut all the way. I missed having a coffee maker in the room, and breakfast felt half-hearted. I'd think about staying again since the nearby hotels cost much more, but I'm not sure I'd choose it.

It's a clean, basic place if all you need is somewhere to sleep. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean, though the carpet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in ages. There seem to be people living there full time, if that matters to you. Breakfast was cereal and milk, bagels, coffee, bananas, and orange-colored water. The swimming pool is now a swamp. There are lots of NO PETS signs, but three dogs greeted us at the front desk, and we nearly ran over one in the parking lot later. We might stay again if we had no other choice, but not for more than $100 a night. It's owned by a nice Eastern Indian family, not Amish, though it may have been Amish-owned at one time.
