Scottish Inn Ronks

The only good thing was plenty of hot water. The room was small, the mattress covers were stained, and there was lots of hair on the bathroom floor, especially behind the door. It was noisy as hell, like remodeling was going on upstairs late at night and into the early morning. I'm not staying again.

The online pictures looked nice, but the room was completely different when I arrived. It was filthy and rusty, and the stained towels didn't seem to have been washed with bleach. The toilet seat was pitted and rotted and wouldn't stay up, and the drains were slow. I wouldn't stay there again.

The motel is in a quieter stretch of road, with food, shopping, Dutch wonderland, and everything else just a short hop away. The owners are a lovely, very sweet husband-and-wife team, and they'll listen if you need someone to talk to. The rooms and linens are very clean, better than many hotels I've stayed in. The rooms and furniture seemed new, though the building itself could use updates, stairs and all.

The location is great, and while the rooms are small, the bathroom is large with a walk-in shower. The shower curtain was white but very dirty along the bottom, with pink on it that looked like bacteria. There was no smoke or fire monitor, and the room was very dusty.
