The lobby fireplace looked nice, and most of the staff seemed pleasant. One night, though, a man on shift came up to me in the dark parking lot and passed within a foot of me without saying anything. It was bizarre. I won't stay here again, I'll pick somewhere in issaquah. The room was cold, and guests can't adjust the thermostat. The thin, cheap blankets barely helped, the pillows were terrible, and the beds uncomfortable. The hotel is close to the ski slope, but getting there still means a walk in ski boots with all your gear. They should run a shuttle to the mountain entrance. The sauna didn't work, and the so-called hot tub was a tub of room-temperature water in a room with boarded-up windows. Pretty laughable, and definitely not impressive. I didn't risk trying the pancake house. I can see what other reviews mean about the place having potential but being a shell of what it used to be after changes in ownership.

Mr. Singh made us feel at home as soon as we arrived, greeting us with real warmth and kindness. He was attentive, thoughtful, and always smiling. His hospitality made our stay memorable, and we're grateful for the care he showed us. It's rare for one person to have that kind of impact. He represents the kind of service a hotel should provide and is a real asset. We'd happily come back because of him.

I used to love the hot tub and sauna area because it was clean and cozy. This time the sauna wouldn't heat up, and the tub was filthy, with grime on the sides, dirt and sand on the bottom, and a big spider floating in it. The restaurant has gone downhill too. It's overpriced, and the food is worse than drive-through food. I've been coming here for almost my whole life, and watching the place run down is heartbreaking. The original owners made it a first-class hotel, and the second owners kept it nice and up to date. Now it feels like the current owners are cheap, lazy, dishonest, and disrespectful. They accept dogs, then stick you and your dog in the worst, most run-down room, even when the parking lot has only five cars and there are clearly better rooms available. The lobby is still beautiful, but two male staff members creeped me out by loitering around. I felt extremely uncomfortable there by myself. Others have said it's the only hotel up there, and it seems the owners know they'll get business during the winter high season regardless of the condition. They just don't care. They should sell to someone who does. Don't stay here or support people with no interest in making the business succeed.

The view of the ski resort was nice, and the ski runs were only a short drive away. Still, we stayed just one night because the hotel was in such poor shape, and we didn't feel we got what we paid for. We'd asked for a non-smoking room, but it reeked of cigarettes, sweat, and dust. Cold air kept blowing through the freezing room. The hallways smelled like food and body odor, and the bathroom smelled of urine. The hotel needs a deep cleaning.

We paid $150 for this stay, and I wouldn't recommend doing the same. The hotel was nearly empty, yet after standing in the lobby ringing the bell for 10-15 minutes, we were given a room with a view of a shed and a lot of junk, when there were better options for a view. The room itself was shabby, with beat-up furniture and a cheap mattress on a metal frame. What made us most uneasy was the man at the front desk hanging around in the hallway. It seemed like whenever we left our room, he was standing there. This was the second-worst hotel I've stayed in.
