Stonebridge Inn

The property sits in a beautiful part of Snowmass village and has great views. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated, with a beautiful lobby and outdoor pool area. I would have liked a microwave in the room.

Stonebridge’s customer service was cold and inflexible when my partner became seriously ill just days before our stay. We contacted them right away with one simple request: change the dates instead of canceling the trip. They refused, and we’re now being charged $1,400 for a stay we couldn’t physically make because of the illness. There was no empathy or flexibility in how they handled a legitimate health emergency. If you’re fine with a business treating guests like numbers and putting policy ahead of people, Stonebridge may suit you. If you expect compassion or reasonable service, look elsewhere. I won’t book there again, and would urge others to think carefully before risking their money.

We had a really good summer break. The hotel was clean, accessible, and reasonably priced, and the grounds were lovely. The gym, pool, and hot tubs were well kept and a nice place to unwind on summer afternoons. There were BBQ cooking facilities around, and Heathers had a good happy hour with a few good options. We missed having espresso coffee, but didn’t have to walk far to find coffee.

This was our third visit, and we’re really disappointed. The Jacuzzis weren’t available last year, and once again they were out of service. We’d booked a king suite with a balcony, only to find roof repairs underway on the building right in front of us. The noise made it impossible to enjoy a quiet morning or evening. We would have chosen another hotel, or a cheaper room on the other side, if we’d known. The happy hour appetizers were lukewarm and tasted as if they’d been sitting out for hours before being reheated. For what we paid, that was a letdown. Checkout at 10 a.m. is early, too. I like the hotel and its location, but I’ll have to reconsider staying again unless I call to ask, since none of this was mentioned online.
