We just wrapped up a school trip with 36 students, and the staff were amazing. They helped at every stage, from planning through the trip itself, and were always so helpful. The rooms were good, and the students loved the indoor pool and hot tubs. There are lots of nice stops right across the street, too. We can’t wait to come back next year!

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and for the price the space was huge. This was more like an apartment than a hotel room or suite, with two large bedrooms, a full kitchen and dining room, pantry space, and an apartment-size fridge. There was a full stove, dishes, glasses, and other kitchen items, plus a table for six and stools at the counter. Each bedroom and the living room had a TV. The living room had two couches, one large enough for an adult to sleep on and the other suitable for a younger person. The windows made it feel open, both bedrooms were large, and the unit had new AC units. There was also a jacuzzi with jets, and it looked like an adjoining room could be added for more beds. The place needs work and cleaning. The furniture didn’t feel very clean, wallpaper was peeling in several spots, and the jacuzzi was dirty around the trim, especially the wood at the back and side. The living room window was covered in fingerprints and grime, with what looked like a huge dried spit stain on it. I don’t see how the windows are missed during cleaning, especially with something that gross left there. The carpet was wrinkled enough to be a trip hazard, chunks were missing where the AC units had been changed, and the ceiling had clear signs of an old leak with badly done repairs. Some fire sprinklers weren’t trimmed in properly. They provided coffee, a pot, cups, and spoons, but no cream or sugar, which I’d never seen at a hotel. With repairs and a proper cleanup, this place could be killer.

Mary on the night shift was a huge help getting me the maps and passes I needed. After I checked out, the cleaning staff even chased me down to return my phone cable. The staff were excellent, and there’s a great indoor pool and hot tub. It’s close to the top of the mountain for slopes or trails, and the prices are incredibly low. The rooms aren’t especially luxurious, but how much time do you spend in them anyway? It’s an absolute gem for the price, and I’ll definitely stay again.

Brittany and Morgan made check-in really easy, and getting our summer fun passes was no problem. Whenever the pool closed because of weather, they called our room to let us know once it was back open. The rooms are great, though they could use a little updating. For what you pay, that’s not much to complain about. The location is great, and the pool and hot tub are amazing. You can’t go wrong with the Inn at Snowshoe.

The rooms were clean, and the night front desk woman was pleasant and helpful. But the bathtub and shower were a dangerous nightmare. The tub floor was very slippery and uneven, with a big hump in the middle that made your feet slide. On top of that, the shower curtain was six inches too long and kept getting underfoot. The irony is that this was a handicap room.
