The Corduroy Inn made a four-night ski trip easy. Check-in was simple, parking was convenient, and there's a first-floor room with lockers for skis, poles, and boots. Our one-bedroom suite had plenty of space, and the bathroom even had heated floors. It's perfectly placed for ski-in, ski-out, with two restaurants and a pizza place within walking distance and the Western Territory runs right across the street. The shuttles run regularly to the village, Top of the World, and Silver Creek for night skiing.

Trevor at the front desk took great care of our guests all weekend and made everyone feel welcome. London and Dan kept the celebration running smoothly, and Jim Ed was a calm, detail-focused day-of coordinator who made our wedding feel effortless. The decorator brought our vision to life beautifully, with personal touches throughout. The chef made our tasting a fun experience, and the wedding dinner was even better than we expected. These Cakes by Monica made a delicious assortment of cupcakes that looked as good as they tasted, and our guests are still talking about the food. We couldn't have picked a better venue or team. Every part of the day was handled with care and kindness, so we could be present and enjoy it. The place is beautiful, but it's the people who put their hearts into their work that we'll always remember. We're grateful for the memories and would recommend it to any couple looking for an unforgettable wedding.

We paid about $100 less per person per night than we would have in the village, and it was still less than a 10-minute walk away. Skiing makes the trip even easier, thanks to the clean locker room with ski storage on the garage level and direct slope access. There was covered first-come, first-served parking, which helped during an overnight snow and ice storm. My girlfriend and I stayed here after two nights elsewhere in Snowshoe and were impressed by how new the hotel felt. It was built in 2014. Tuque's, which is attached, was probably the most fun Apres spot on the mountain, and dinner later at Appalachian Kitchen impressed us too. I'd heard about complaints concerning pet-friendly rooms, but maybe we got lucky. Our whole wing was pet-free, even though we'd booked the cheapest room about a week ahead. I did notice that booking the pet-free rooms in advance cost more.

This was our second visit to Corduroy Inn, and we love the location. Back in October, we booked the Stanley's early dog special because the website still listed complimentary winter breakfast as an amenity, which helped make the decision. At check-in we learned it had been removed, with no advance notice. I tried twice to raise the advertised amenity before checkout, but the hotel offered no resolution and never replied to my email. I was disappointed they ignored my concerns.

On my first Snowshoe snowboarding trip, I was traveling solo and found the hotel's spot beside the lift really convenient. A short walk and trail took me straight to the slope. The room was spacious and nice, the bathroom was very clean, and it stayed warm in the freezing weather. Staff were kind, and even offered an early check-in, though my room wasn't ready yet. There are restaurants and takeout nearby, and you can order food to the room too.
