Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Park City by IHG

We were told we’d get a 15% discount for the days affected by the hot water problem, but later found no discount had been applied. That was especially disappointing given the holiday-season rates. We stayed December 23-26 for a family Christmas trip. The location was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable, but inconsistent hot water over the first two days really hurt the experience. We called the front desk several times and got no answer, so we had to go downstairs. The employee was sitting with his feet kicked up, which was surprising when guest calls were going unanswered. We were told the water system needed to be restarted and would take around 30 minutes to heat back up. It actually took nearly an hour, and the same thing happened the next day. The lack of hot water, trouble reaching staff, and promised compensation that never came took away from what should’ve been an enjoyable family vacation.

I spent four weeks at the Holiday Inn Express in Park City, UT, and the internet was the most frustrating part of the stay. It was consistently slow and unreliable. Video calls dropped or froze so often that remote work was nearly impossible. Streaming was constantly interrupted by buffering, and even basic websites loaded frustratingly slowly at busy times. Bad Wi-Fi might be an inconvenience on a short visit, but for a month-long stay, dependable high-speed internet is a necessity. This level of service is unacceptable for a modern hotel brand. Other parts of the stay may have been fine, but not being able to work or relax properly ruined the experience. If you need to work remotely or rely on internet access, choose another hotel.

The rooms were spotless, the breakfast buffet was delicious, and you’re close to all kinds of local amenities. There’s a brewery, restaurants, shops, supermarkets, and even a gas station within walking distance. The location is ideal whether you’re skiing or just passing through Park City. I was blown away by my five-star stay at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites. It’s convenient, comfortable, and clean, and I can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend it.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was complimentary. Most of the people we met were very welcoming. We arrived at night on the 20th, and the man at the check-in desk was especially nice and helpful. When we told him we were from out of town and didn’t know the area, he gave us guidance and advice.
