Jeff, the shuttle driver, was such a great part of our stay. He was always smiling and friendly, and reliably picked us up and dropped us off after long ski days. The complimentary shuttle ran about every 30 minutes, as I recall, and made getting to and from the slopes easy. We chose Hyatt Place Park City through Expedia because it was the best financial option and close to the base area, and it turned out to be a great pick. It’s conveniently near Canyons Village and not too far from the Park City ski area. The team were welcoming, our room was clean and comfortable, and breakfast was included and a good way to start the day. There was also a nice snack at 5 PM. On-site ski rentals, a pool, and a gym added to the convenience. My family would recommend it to anyone visiting Park City, and we’ll be back.

The room was comfortable overall, with hot water and strong pressure, blackout curtains, a good bed, and a vanity with plenty of space. We were on the first floor, though, and could hear everything upstairs. Ski boots came through especially loudly. Being five minutes by car from the garage at the bottom of the Cabriolet made Canyons Village convenient for us. Getting to Mountain Village from there means taking the Quicksilver lift, which can be held for wind. We drove so we could come and go when we wanted, but there’s also a free hotel shuttle every 30 minutes. Sign up ahead of time if you plan to use it. Breakfast was average, usually a protein, potatoes, fruit, yogurt, waffles or French toast sticks, and other carbs like bread, donut holes, bagels, and cereal. At 5pm they put out an early evening snack, usually one small item such as sliders, chicken tenders, or tacos, along with a veggie plate. Hot drinks are available around the clock. The station sometimes runs out, but staff restock when someone lets them know.

I usually stay only at Hyatt hotels, and this may be the worst one I’ve been to. The TV kept disconnecting after ten minutes or less, so I couldn’t even watch a movie. The wall-mounted lamp on the right side of the bed was missing. We were on the ground floor and could hear everything above us, like an earthquake going on all day. The staff were nice, but I’d recommend spending extra for the Grand Hyatt. It’s worth it.

The rooms were clean and a comfortable size, and everyone who helped me was friendly and did a great job. Dawn at the front desk and Valentina at the breakfast hostess stand were excellent. So was the shuttle driver from Argentina, whose name I think was Risia. Sorry if I’ve got it wrong! I also spoke with a maintenance technician or supervisor from California’s Central Valley, though I didn’t get his name. After I told him I couldn’t continue my winter sports plans after the first day, he gave me great suggestions around the city. Thanks to them all for the hospitality. Hyatt Place is in an awkward spot if you don’t have a car and need food nearby. There are city bus stops right outside the lobby, though, with free rides to Kimball Junction or Park City’s Main Street, where there are plenty of dining options. From check-in through checkout, staff were attentive to my questions and requests.

The room was clean, spacious, and excellent, with a lovely view of the fall colors. Breakfast was remarkable, and everyone we met was friendly. The staff were courteous and professional, and their restaurant and activity suggestions were helpful. We loved our stay and hope to return with friends.
