Holiday Inn Express & Suites Solana Beach - Del Mar

My room had a refreshing view of the sun and sky, and I kept the balcony door open for fresh air and sunshine while the sun was out. Breakfast wasn’t the usual menu because of construction, but the woman serving it made it work. She was humble, helpful, and did an amazing job. The food and drinks were tasty, and I left happy and full. The front desk person was thoughtful and very nice. I’d definitely recommend staying here and would come back.

The rooms were a favorite on my road trip up and down the coast, especially after staying at similar hotels from this brand. They’re spacious and beautifully renovated, with a big balcony for coastal breezes. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch, and the beds and pillows felt just right. Check-in was easy, and the front desk was welcoming and accommodating. There’s a pool, hot tub, free breakfast, fitness room, and covered garage parking. Shops, restaurants, cafes, juicers, and the beaches are all close by. I’d absolutely stay here again.

Daniel and Devon were especially helpful and accommodating. They made sure our reservation didn’t get cancelled even though we were arriving after their system release time. We only needed the room for a few hours to freshen up before an event nearby. The rooms and hotel are newly renovated, and we had no bug or cleanliness problems, unlike some other reviews. Breakfast was included, ran for three hours, and was great. For what we paid, the stay was a really good value.

The staff were easily the friendliest and most helpful I’ve met at any hotel, always polite and kind. Breakfast was incredible, and the balcony was lovely. It’s a decent walk to and from the beach. We wish we could’ve stayed longer, this was one of the best hotel stays I’ve had while travelling. It went beyond what we expected.
