The downstairs suite was really comfortable, and there’s a great laundry room guests can use. Shirley made a great breakfast, and she and John were friendly and helpful. I almost want to say something bad so they’ll still have space next time we’re in Soldotna, but honestly, I highly recommend them.

The B&B was amazingly clean and quiet, and the breakfast was fantastic. We stayed April 26-28, and Shirley made sure everything we needed was in place. She knows the area well and suggested dinner spots and nice walks. If you get the chance to stay at Southern Bluff B&B, do it. You won’t regret the stay or the price.

Breakfast is made to order and hearty, a lovely start to a day in Alaska. The rooms are spacious, the bed is very comfortable, and the shower has great pressure. Everything was immaculate, and the whole place felt cozy and welcoming. I felt right at home and can’t wait to come back.

We were looking forward to staying here for a fishing trip with my wife and a coworker. The photos and reviews looked great, but our reservation was canceled this week. We got our money back, though it was hard to find another place during peak fishing season. I would’ve loved to stay, but never got the chance.

John and Shirley are such nice people. The place is neat and tidy, and the food tastes just like home. You couldn’t ask to meet kinder hosts.
