Viking Inn

We appreciated the useful little fridge and microwave for keeping leftovers, and the beds were comfortable with extra fluffy pillows. The place was spotless and just as it looked online. It's well cared for, with an adorable feel, and we especially liked relaxing by the outdoor fire pit near our room. The location made it easy to walk to shops, wine tasting rooms, and restaurants. Staff communication was great, and everyone was kind and welcoming. I'd definitely return.

We came to see Solvang and walk around, so the room was mainly somewhere peaceful to unwind briefly and sleep. We stayed one Saturday night. The room looked great and was clean, the bed was comfortable, the blinds blocked light well, and the little table nook was handy. The small fridge, microwave, and cooling unit were tucked behind a curtain, and everything worked. The bathroom was big, though a better showerhead would help. There wasn't anywhere to hang clothes, so we used the chairs and bench at the end of the bed. We had a quiet neighbor on one side and no neighbor on the other, so the possibly thin walls weren't an issue. Check-in was contactless, with a helpful email of details arriving a few hours beforehand. The hotel is at one end of town, about a ten-minute walk from the other, so it's convenient. There's a 24-hour market across the street, plus a pet store if you're traveling with a dog. A great experience!

Easy contactless entry with keypads, so there are no key cards to lose. This is a cute motel with comfortable, convenient rooms and spare European-style decor. Restaurants and shops are an easy walk away, and the free bikes are a nice extra.

We only stayed one night, but I'd gladly come back to the Viking Inn if I'm in Solvang again. The courtyard was a favorite, with neat grass, comfortable seats, and lovely lights that made it peaceful in the evening. The property itself was quiet and serene, a good place to unwind after exploring. Our room was very clean, fresh, comfortable, and thoughtfully arranged. You can tell the staff take pride in keeping it up.
