Xanadu Ranch GetAway

The bed was comfortable, and the place was cute, clean, and private. It made a perfect starting point for visiting the Sonoita area wineries, and it’s close to local restaurants. The owner-hostess was incredibly nice and went out of her way for us. Cheers to people like that.

We spent a lovely morning having coffee on the patio, talking with Karen, and listening to the koi pond. The early sky was incredible for stargazing, and there’s a handy map for checking out local wineries. We arrived unsure what to expect, but the welcome from Karen and the cute, fully furnished casita surpassed that. The room was clean, stocked with the essentials, and the bed was comfortable. We’ll definitely return to Xanadu Ranch.

I called to ask about booking all the rooms for a larger group next January, for a late holiday shop event. They advertise that extra beds can be brought into rooms for an additional fee. The woman on the phone, who I assume was the owner, was rude and laughed at everything I said. It was a really off-putting, unwelcoming conversation, so we’ll take our business elsewhere.

The rolling hills and beautiful surroundings made for a lovely stay. Karen was gracious, answered my questions about the area and activities, and was very flexible with our schedule while we spent three days looking at property. The room was clean and comfortable, and she welcomed our dogs. Highly recommend.
