Quality Inn Sonora TX

We got a good night's sleep, which was what we came for. The room at the back was spotless, and road noise died down completely after dark. There's a space behind the inn to stretch your legs, with a picnic table too. The man at check-in was pleasant. We didn't need to ask staff for anything, so I can't really rate the service.

I wouldn't recommend this place. The room felt hot and stuffy, and smelled awful. There was a black, smashed-looking thing on the floor and a large puddle just inside the door, a real hazard for older or disabled guests. Even the tub didn't look inviting enough to shower in. The older woman at the desk was rude and seemed annoyed to be doing her job. I think she may be a manager.

If you're a CLC worker, check whether another hotel will give you points before booking here. This one doesn't qualify, so you won't earn them. Some places do award points through Corporate Lodging, so compare your options and choose accordingly.

We used the Quality Inn-Sonora on trips to and from the Big Bend area. It was easy to reach, clean, and quiet despite being near the Interstate. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they were happy to give us a ground floor room even though we were paying with reward points. We'd gladly stay again if we're passing through.
