The room was awful and smelled strongly of pot. The other room we'd booked was overwhelmed by air freshener, and the tub wouldn't drain. My husband couldn't get his wheelchair into the bathroom. Unacceptable. I booked two rooms a month ahead, including an accessible room for him, but when we arrived that room had already been booked for over a week. Manager Morris Damiano decided a room at the far end, away from the handicap ramp, was the best option and no one called to ask if that worked for us. The manager on duty just kept saying, “I'm sorry” and “I understand.” If you haven't used a wheelchair, you really don't understand. The current rooms shown in my photos are very different from the pictures on the page, which were already outdated by two years. The washcloth was dirty because I walked barefoot across the carpet, and the carpet photos show how filthy it was. This so-called CHOICE Quality Inn was awful.

There was a strange noise from the iron bed frame whenever I moved. The strongest issue at first was the damp, mildewy smell as soon as my sister and I entered. I sprayed the rug, woodwork, curtains, fabric chair, and air, and it took a whole can of Lysol before the odor went away. Our stay was pleasant overall, though we had to adjust to a few things. Outdoor mats for wiping wet shoes when it rains might help, along with thorough weekly inspections.

The breakfast was good, but I won't come back. The stairs were very dirty, and other guests smoked and talked loudly until well after 10:30 pm. The bed hadn't been made for the second night, and the sheet-metal frame made a lot of noise whenever I moved.

The mattress and pillows were great, and the room was clean and modern. It's a bit far from I85, but it worked well for a place to crash.

The people were nice, but the place was very dated, and I wouldn't stay again. The photos make it clear why. My son loved the pillows and shower and said it was the best he'd slept in a while. There was bird shit all over our door when we got to the room, and cigarette burns in the bathroom.
