The staff were quite friendly, and the atrium and pool were a big hit. The atrium is a lovely place to sit with friends, and we got a great rate for a standard double room. The hotel layout is unusual and a bit maze-like, with elevators that don’t reach every part of the building. Carrying all my kids’ hockey gear to the room was a bit of a challenge. Asking for a first-floor room may be best. The rooms we used were older. On arrival, I reported a high-pitched squeal from the heating unit. They said they’d send an engineer, but four hours later it was still squealing, so I asked to switch rooms. They moved me without any trouble. The next room had only blackout curtains, no sheers, on the ground floor, and poor lighting. I told them about the lighting, but it wasn’t fixed. We weren’t in the room much, fortunately. The bathrooms don’t have fans.

The beds were comfortable and the rooms clean. I’d stay again, especially since it’s only 6 minutes from the airport, which was my main concern. Getting to our first-floor room was oddly difficult, though, with stairs up and down along the way. My friends with sensitive noses noticed a slight mildew smell. Maybe it came from the indoor pool, which was close to our room. The hotel is adding a new section, but construction didn’t affect our stay.

The beds were comfortable, and we had a good-sized mini fridge and a coffee maker in the room. There were two small bottles of water on the counter for $3 each. Given the room price, I think they should be complimentary. Free water and hot apple cider were available in the lobby, though. Parking was easy to find and free, and the hotel offers a free airport shuttle. We didn’t use it since we were returning a rental car, but it’s a nice option. We picked this place for its proximity to Burlington airport. Although there’s construction underway, getting a room was no problem, and we didn’t hear it at all on Friday night. We were visiting from California and checked in around 3:00 p.m.; they greeted us with warm cookies. The restaurant inside has lovely decor and a serene atmosphere.

Our flight was cancelled, so we unexpectedly stayed at the Burlington Doubletree. The rooms were brand new and the service was very pleasant. As a Diamond member, I got credits that covered breakfast. We were very pleased and would certainly stay again. Well done!

After a long travel day for work, it was great to have a tavern where I could get dinner once I’d unpacked in my spacious room. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in and checkout were easy. My friend asked for two cookies and got them without hesitation. The next day, a guest asked for a few to take on the bus, and the host politely said they couldn’t give too many, then handed over 8. I thought it was a big ask from the guest. The room was dated but clean, and housekeeping restocked coffee, water, and towels. We enjoyed our stay.
