Motel 6 South Haven, KS

The front desk service was decent, but the room was awful. There were flies everywhere, dead bugs on the floor, stains on the beds, a broken shower handle, and the bathtub looked terrifying. It didn’t seem to have been cleaned before I arrived. I know motels aren’t fancy, but I’ve stayed in places at the same price or less that didn’t look like a scene from a Saw movie.

There were roaches and big black bugs in my room, and the TV didn’t work. The front desk clerk seemed more interested in eating than helping. He told me to let him finish, then he’d call the manager about the TV. There wasn’t any food within 20 miles either. For $75, I’d go somewhere else.

Good value, and truck parking is just feet away if you’re a truck driver. The staff are friendly, the rooms are clean and updated, and the beds are great. It’s very quiet, with a good TV selection.

The food near the gas station was great, and I loved staying here. Everything was neat and tidy, and the service was very good.
