Trails West Motel

The owner is super nice, and the rate is affordable. This family is the best. It may not be the Hilton, but it's clean and safe, so we'll keep coming back every year for the fair. Thank you.

The room's condition made for a restless, uncomfortable night. There were red spots all over the shower and Jacuzzi, which left me seriously concerned about hygiene. When I told management the air conditioner in the honeymoon suite wasn't working, they said they'd knocked on our door, but that never happened. I also found the management unprofessional and hard to communicate with because they struggled to speak English clearly. I asked to speak with the owner or manager, but was told the owner was out of town; the front desk wouldn't give me a number or another way to reach him. The lack of accountability and poor customer service were disappointing. The management team needs better training, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel or return.

The shower was filthy, with red spots everywhere, and the air conditioner never worked. Staff said someone would come fix it, but nobody showed up. In the morning, the counter staff claimed someone had knocked three times, which NEVER happened. The room was so hot I couldn't sleep, and there were no refund options. I'd recommend staying somewhere else unless you can't afford anything else or, like me, this is the only motel available in town.

The room and location are a bit run down, but it was fairly clean. The shower worked, the TV had a couple dozen channels, and there were NO Bed Bugs, though the bedding was pretty stained. I called ahead to reserve and was told I could arrive at 3am because there's a night shift doorbell. The overnight clerk made check-in easy, and service was good both on the phone and in person. I checked out at 2:10pm without any hassle. Convenient and budget-friendly.
