The front desk service was really good, and for a cheap room there wasn't much else to expect. The room itself was just okay. In the middle of winter the comforter was very thin, so staying warm meant running the AC/heat unit, which sounded like a semi truck. It's a great spot for restaurants and shopping, and the gondola at Heavenly is under a five-minute walk away. The downside is the busy street, with traffic noise day and night. Watch the checkout rules: you can stay until 11:30, then they charge another $100 for every half hour. Having a dog is a real plus here. I probably wouldn't come back unless I had to, though I've stayed in worse places. She's gon

During the February snowstorm, every road into Tahoe was closed on the day we were supposed to travel and check in. We'd checked the forecast a week earlier, when the days looked clear, so we kept the reservation. I sent booking.com screenshots of the closures throughout the day. When I called the hotel, they insisted the roads were open, even though we were stuck on i50 and I had real-time closure information from a government site. The staff talked over me, then abruptly hung up and refused to work with me. They said the storm had been announced a month earlier and I should have known. No weather service can predict specific road closures that far ahead. I found the staff and management rude and unreasonable, and felt they were lying to deny a refund. I wouldn't recommend this property.

I stayed long term and the staff were wonderful and helpful, especially Chris and Thomra and the ladies. It was clean, and I always managed to find a parking spot despite the limited spaces. The lodge has a nice modern look, and the price was amazing at $35 a night. My room had a comfortable memory foam bed and a mini kitchen, and I was upgraded one night to a suite with a bedroom, kitchen, huge bathtub, and fireplace. The big jacuzzi and pool are great, and the poolside rooms look nice for summer. You can walk to the lake and nearby stores. Charming place.

The property is beautiful, and we enjoyed the stay until the last night. We were asleep after going to bed around 9:00 PM when a front desk agent banged aggressively on our door in the middle of the night, accusing my boyfriend and me of screaming, being loud, and slamming doors. It was unsettling to be woken like that. We tried to explain, half asleep, that we hadn't made a sound, but he dismissed us and said every neighbor had complained. There was no effort to check whether the complaint had been directed at the right room. The next morning, the front desk manager said the property manager would contact us. I've called several times and left multiple voicemails since then, with no return call. The way the incident was handled and the lack of follow-up were both unacceptable and left us with a very negative final impression. The resort has potential, but guests shouldn't be confronted in the night without certainty, and concerns should get a response.

The location is central, with an easy walk to Heavenly Village, though getting around at night is tricky because there are no sidewalks or streetlights. Parking is first come, first served. The guy who checked us in was great and helpful. He brought pillows and sheets up after I called, even though his coworker was rude and told me to pick them up myself, then they had none available downstairs. He went to find some and delivered them himself. The room needs a major remodel. The toilet ran all night, the seat was broken, and there was no hot shower water at night. Staff couldn't help with that. The TV and heaters were nice, but the pullout couch had old food bits wedged in it and its sheet had questionable stains. Fine if you won't spend time in the room, but I wouldn't stay again.
