A&A Lake Tahoe Inn

The room wasn't ready when we arrived, so check-in was delayed. After getting in, we found a dirty bathroom, mirror, and shower, plus soda bottles still in the room, so it clearly hadn't been cleaned properly. The carpet was dirty and the refrigerator disgusting. The TV box was wet, and the mattresses, pillows, and pillowcases had stained areas with some kind of suspicious substance, possibly urine.

I took one look at the room and left my key at the front desk, then went down the street to a casino that cost only $30 more. The bedding wasn't tucked in and hung onto the floor. Pillowcases were stained and wrinkled, the toilet hadn't been cleaned, the shower curtain was moldy, and there were cigarette butts on the doormat. The room reeked of smoke. I hadn't researched the place before pulling into the lot, and didn't expect a business like this could operate in the Tahoe area. I've never seen a hotel this disgusting.

I tried to move my reservation from Friday to Thursday and never heard back from the property. When I arrived, they charged me $20 more than the Friday night rate. The room was dirty, and there was just one towel for the two of us. This was the worst motel I've ever stayed in, a real dump. I wish I could upload the pictures I took. I also filed a complaint with the South Lake Tahoe health department.

The place felt shady, with bugs all over, dust everywhere, a run-down room, and a really bad smell. The front office didn't offer us another room, just bug spray. The location is basically in an alley with shady people around. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!
