There’s no on-site management, and we never got a response about the broken plumbing. We checked in ourselves using a door code sent by message, and the room mostly looked like the photos. Then my wife was showering when our daughter needed to use the toilet, which wouldn’t flush. The shower was draining slowly, with about an inch of water in it, and the water wasn’t draining at all once we noticed the soap suds weren’t moving toward the drain. I tried the plunger on the toilet without success. Over the next hour, we called the number in the check-in message three times and left voicemails. We also sent two messages through the hotels.com app with our phone number, but got no reply. Hotels.com tried reaching the property manager twice too, without success. They started a refund and gave us $50 for the trouble, but we had to scramble to find other lodging rather than stay with the toilet and shower water still standing after nearly three hours. The next day, the property sent checkout instructions as if nothing had happened. They refused a refund, and hotels.com has cited no specific policy for backing that decision. We won’t stay here or book through hotels.com again. In their reply to my review, they said they were sorry about the backup, had received our messages, and sent a plumber the next morning. We were already gone, and nobody had contacted us to say they’d received the messages. A plumber the next morning was far too late for an urgent problem. Recent hotels.com reviews show the same pattern of management being unavailable and unresponsive.
We checked in to find a room that hadn’t been cleaned. The previous guest had left, but the bedding was dirty and there were full bags of trash. We couldn’t reach anyone. No one answered the phone.
The cabins were spacious, cozy, and had room for a big group. We loved the attention to detail and how good they were for kids, with snow around the cabin for them to play in. Everything we needed was just a few minutes away, and the location worked perfectly. We had an amazing time and will definitely book these cabins again.
We had such a great birthday stay here from February 15-17, 2025. The place was clean and nice, and the kids had a blast playing in the snow and building snowmen and forts in the private court, where they felt safe. Restaurants, Raley's, Starbucks, pizza, and a great beer pub with live music were all within walking distance. Love this place.
My daughter and I booked a cabin for the weekend of Aug 16, but there was no office to check in at and we never received the email with check-in details. The third party we booked through said we should have received it. We tried the website number from three different phones with three different people, but the call disconnected each time and the number wasn’t valid. Our email to the property bounced back as undeliverable. We couldn’t check in and had to find somewhere else so we wouldn’t sleep in the car. That other lodging cost nearly $2,000. We’re still trying to get our money back, but so far the refund has been denied under the nonrefundable cancellation policy. I don’t think it should apply when we couldn’t get in because of their negligence. I absolutely wouldn’t recommend this place.
