We were charged an extra $50 at checkout because we were assigned a non-pet room, even though my fiancé and I had both declared our dog on Booking.com and called ahead as instructed. There was already a $75 pet fee, which we accepted. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable, too, and the extra charge over their failure to note our pet made for a really unpleasant birthday weekend. Customer service was terrible, and with so many nearby places to stay, I wouldn't recommend this one.

The manager was especially helpful and made my stay and onward trip great. I got everything I needed here, and it was a great value in a good location.

We stayed three nights the week before Labor Day. The room was spacious and clean, and the location is close to the other hotels and inns, within walking distance of Heavenly Village and the beach. The reason I'm recommending it, though, is the service. We left my mother-in-law's insulin purse behind, and they called right away. We missed the call while driving down the mountain, then phoned them once we got down. They were friendly and arranged everything after we emailed a shipping label and set up pickup. The package arrived carefully packed, with nothing missing. We also saw one of the area's black bears on a summer night walk, something you can apparently encounter around any of the local hotels.

The jetted tub was amazing, and the room was pretty nice for the price. But that bed was awful, way too firm and gave me back pain. The pillows weren't much better, just flat cushions.

We spent three days here in December 2025, and it was one of the cleanest motels I've stayed in. We travel a lot, and the staff were exceptional. It was wonderful that they welcome pets, and I'd definitely come back.
